Latest chapter “The Vauxhall Project,” my fic that virtually no one is reading, but I can’t stop writing, so on I go! I’m seeing this fucker through to the end.
Spring-heeled Jim winks an eye
He’ll “do,” he’ll never be “done to”
He takes on whoever flew through
“Well, it’s the normal thing to do”
Spring-heeled Jim lives to love
Now kissing with his mouth full
And his eyes on some other fool
So many women
His head should be spinning
Ah, but no!
Spring-heeled Jim slurs the words:
“There’s no need to be so knowing
Take life at five times your average speed, like I do.”
Until Jim feels the chill
“Oh, where did all the time go?”
Once always in for the kill
Now it’s too cold
And he feels too old

Mycroft POV
A/N: There so many ways to read/interpret Mycroft, but most often I find him to be a very sympathetic character. He’s a control freak who is controlled by his need to control. It must be exhausting having to worry about someone like Sherlock Holmes all the time, don’t you think?

I was scrolling through the Sherlock tag here in Tumblr-ville a few weeks ago and someone posted that Morrissey’s song “Spring-Heeled Jim” was a perfect fit for Jim Moriarty.
Huh, I thought. It really, really is!
I’ve loved the Vauxhall and I album for ages — ever since it was released, basically. I went back to listen to “Spring-Heeled Jim” and suddenly other songs started to make sense in the Sherlock storyline. By the time I finished listening to the entire album, this story cycle had more or less formed itself in my head. Every song is matched to a character and a point in the Series 1/2 story arc. Most often “filling in the blanks” or climbing into a character’s head.
I’ll admit that a couple are a bit of a stretch, but I’d say that 90% of this album could be used as an alternate soundtrack for the series.
This is going on FF.net, of course, but I’ll be posting the chapters here as well, and the accompanying YouTube vids for the songs. I do highly recommend that you listen to the songs either during or after you read the stories. Look at the lyrics. If you like it, maybe you want to purchase it. Mozzer would like that. And I want to thank him for the inspiration and I hope he, Moffat, and Gatiss don’t mind me leaching off their genius a little bit. I don’t own the characters or the songs/lyrics and I am not making a cent off this project. Just enjoying myself. I hope you enjoy yourselves, too.

Latest chapter of my Sherlock/Moriarty fic.
General summary: Moriarty kidnaps John and Sherlock separately and threatens John in order to have his way with Sherlock. (Warning: creepy dub-con.) John is forced to listen to the whole thing (awkward!) and it ends up not quite as expected. More awkwardness and Johnlock ensue. Virgin!Sherlock sexual awakening trope.
